The Modular Commune is a series of events about modular synth and other electronic instruments, in the gathering people exchange ideas of the ever-poplar modular synth and showcase their own systems, as well as playing live with their gears. The organizers want to introduce the concept and technology of modular synth to a greater crowd, improve modular synth owners’ skills of using them through these events.
The Modular Commune will take place in Beijing every 2 months, the latest event will at the main rooms of Beijing’s Lantern Club on 20th September, Thursday afternoon 3pm. The communication and systems demonstrate will be between 3pm-6pm. After 8pm will be the live showcase session.
This time we will have a special guest An On Bast from Poland joining us, she participated the 4th Modular Commune event last year and delivered an impressive live set. This year she’s going to release her second EP “Rose Garden” on Beijing label Ran Music. This EP includes 3 Melodic Techno / Deep House style dance tracks. An On Bast’s creative studio technique and melodic preferences have morphed her techno music into a new genre that she has created herself.
